Wolfgang Hohlbein (born 1953 in Weimar) Wolfgang Hohlbein is one of the most successfull authors of Germany, mostly within the genres of Fantasy and horror. He writes different kinds of novels, some Fantasy with a touch of fairy-tales, some splatter-horror. These novels all contain a komplex plot, a balanced characterisation of all characters far off the usual masks of good an evil, and he is the great master of the unexpected twists and turns. Amongst his masterpieces of horror are The Net, Azrael, or Wolfsheart. With Hohlbein's novels it might happen that some protagonists die from time to time in the end, and things turn out all different as they shoud be originally.
