Clive Barker
started his career as author of commedies and historial plays for theater. Now he switched to the horror and fantasy- genre and published several novels and short storys there. Additionally he works as Illustrator and produced some horror-movies, which show their quality that he is a multi-talented man.

the little Harvey Swick comes into a 'holiday mansion for children' and notices almost too late, that all this is just world made of illusions, which a demon created as a trap for children, to eat their life energy and thus assure his existance eternally. Harvey suceeds finally in escaping and after returning again defeating the demon.
