Demon from India, brother of Hiranyakashipu.
Brahma promised him that he would be invulnerable,
but after that he started attacking humans and harming
them in many ways, cursing them also.
He was killed finally by Vishnu in form
of a boar, since this animal had been forgotten
while listing all the animals
that couldn't hurt Hiranyaksha.
