In the Slavic mythology she is a terrifying, man-eating witch,
mistress of riding and the change of day and night.
Also seen as the warrior goddess Jaga Baba.
She lives in a house with legs at every corner,
surrounded by a fence of human bones.
In some stories she’s shown as an ugly woman who
offers gifts to you fearless and diligent girls.
She rides on an oven of iron or a mortar with tappet,
and brushes clean up behind her, hiding all of her traces.
