Wolfslaar House![]() One of the most haunted houses of North-Brabant was Wolfslaar House, at the village of Ulvenhout, near Breda. The house was build round 1850 as one of several mansions in that region. At night the hostile ghost of a bearded man in a long cloak appeared in the bedroom trying to frighten the people, so they would leave the house, because they didn't belong there. From the cellars came the terrible sound of rattling chains and the rolling of barrels. The same sounds came from the attic. Servants didn't dare to stay and finally the house was left and started to decay.A few years ago the house was restored and became part of a restaurant. ![]() The whole surrounding of the house is a bit spooky. On the first floor there is a corridor, and at the point where two rooms come out at the corridor, you can get the feeling that there is someone behind you who wants to lay his cold hands into your neck. Dogs never wanted to stay in that corridor and even refused to go into the two rooms. ![]() Wolfslaar House, a beautiful but creepy mansion. |
